Working Principle:


  1. Receiving and Processing of Control Signals
    The module receives low-level digital control signals (usually 24V DC logic signals) from the upper-level safety controller (such as HIMA F3 series controllers) through the input interface. These signals carry instructions to "activate" or "deactivate" the relay.
    The internal circuit performs validity verification on the input signals (such as detection of signal duration and level stability), filters out interference or false trigger signals, and ensures that only legal instructions are responded to.
  2. Signal Amplification and Relay Driving
    The received control signals are amplified in power by the internal amplifier circuit: Since the signal power output by the controller is weak (usually a maximum of 10mA per channel), it cannot directly drive the relay coil. The module increases the current/power through the amplifier circuit to make it sufficient to drive the relay action (each channel can output a maximum of 5A@24V DC).
    The amplified signal is transmitted to the relay coil of the corresponding channel, controlling the relay contacts to close (conduct) or open (cut off), thereby realizing the switch control of external loads (such as valves, contactors, alarm devices, etc.).
  3. Fail-Safe Mechanism and Status Monitoring
    Fail-safe logic: The module has a built-in fail-safe design. When it detects input signal loss, power interruption, internal circuit faults (such as abnormal amplifiers, relay sticking), etc., it will automatically trigger the preset "safe state"—usually the relay contacts open (cut off the load power supply), avoiding dangers caused by misoperation in the fault state.
    Real-time monitoring: It monitors the status of relays in each channel (such as whether the contacts are closed, whether the coil is energized), power supply voltage, input signal integrity, etc., through built-in sensors, and feeds back the monitoring data to the upper-level controller, facilitating the system to grasp the operating status of the module in real time.
  4. Electrical Isolation and Protection
    It adopts optoelectronic isolation or electromagnetic isolation technology to completely isolate the input control circuit, internal amplifier circuit, and external load circuit, preventing external high voltage, surges, or load-side faults (such as short circuits) from reversely affecting the controller or the internal circuit of the module, and improving the anti-interference ability and safety of the system.
    Some channels have overcurrent protection function. When the load current exceeds the rated value (such as 5A), it will automatically limit the output or cut off the channel to protect the relay and external equipment from damage.
