The main changes in the new standard IEC 60335-2-65 and AS/NZS 60335.2.65 are as follows:
Scope of application: DC power supply appliances and battery power supply appliances with a voltage not exceeding 480V have been added.
Universal standard matching: Used in conjunction with IEC 60335-1:2020.
Definition: Air purification equipment adds information to other processing systems, not limited to filtration systems.
Nameplate, identification, instruction manual: requirements corresponding to symbol IEC 60417-6040 ultraviolet radiation identification have been added.
Normal temperature rise: Add testing methods and limit requirements for touchable surface temperature rise.
Structure:
(1) Add the application of test finger 19.
(2) Exemption from the requirement for movable and non hazardous moving parts switches for long-term/automatic/remote use of products.
Removed requirements and testing for UV resistant materials and UV exposure. But in fact, Clause 32.2 and Annex T in IEC 60335-1:2020 have added corresponding requirements.
