The working principle of the KRP1699 oil pressure sensor
The KRP1699 oil pressure sensor is compact in size but integrates a precise structure and a complex working mechanism. When the engine is running, the engine oil circulates in the pipeline, exerting pressure on the internal sensing element of the sensor. This sensor is based on the piezoresistive principle, that is, the pressure directly acts on the sensor diaphragm, causing the diaphragm to generate a micro - displacement proportional to the medium pressure. This principle is similar to applying pressure to an elastic rubber sheet. The greater the pressure, the greater the deformation of the rubber sheet. In the oil pressure sensor, the micro - displacement of the diaphragm causes a change in the resistance value of the sensor. This change is detected by an electronic circuit and converted into a standard signal corresponding to the pressure for output.
This standard signal plays a crucial role in the system. Through the signal line, it first transmits the amplified pressure signal to the oil pressure indicator, changing the current ratio of the two coils inside the oil pressure indicator, thereby accurately indicating the engine oil pressure value. The oil pressure reading seen by the operator on the generator set dashboard is a direct manifestation of the work results of the oil pressure sensor. At the same time, the pressure signal amplified by voltage and current is compared with the preset alarm threshold in the alarm circuit. When the oil pressure is lower than the set alarm value, the alarm circuit triggers the alarm mechanism, outputs an alarm signal, lights up the alarm indicator through the alarm line, prompting the operator to carry out inspections and handling in a timely manner, and effectively avoiding the risk of serious engine failures caused by abnormal oil pressure.
