DESCRIPTION
Cryolite primarily consists of sodium hexafluoroaluminate or sodium aluminum fluoride, with the molecular formula Na3AlF6. It appears as small white crystals, is odorless, has a specific gravity of 3, a hardness of 2-3, a melting point of 1009 degrees Celsius, and readily absorbs moisture. The Hall-Heroult process employs cryolite-based fluoride melts as solvents to produce aluminum. To date, no other compound has been discovered that can substitute cryolite. This is due to its ability to dissolve alumina and its essential properties, such as having no electrical conductivity greater than aluminum, excellent stability, non-decomposition, non-volatility, non-deliquescence at normal conditions, a higher melting point than aluminum, and good conductivity, which saves electricity. Without cryolite, the global aluminum industry might not exist on such a large scale, prices would likely be higher, and applications less widespread.

APPLICATION
It is primarily used as a flux for aluminum electrolysis. Additionally, it serves as a wear-resistant additive for abrasives like resin wheels and abrasive cloths, and as a flux for welding consumables such as welding rods, wires, and fluxes. It also enhances resistance in friction materials like friction plates and brake pads. Its applications extend to grinding additives, fluxes for ferroalloys and boiling steels, non-ferrous metal fluxes including refining agents and slag removers, deoxidizers, enamel emulsifiers, glass opacifiers, ceramic glaze fillers, pesticides, insecticides, fireworks, firecrackers, explosives, smoking products, and refractories.

Packaging: Synthetic Cryolite is packaged in laminated plastic woven bag, lined with plastic film bag, 25kg/50kg/1000kg each bag or according to customer requirements.
