Usually, fluid bed is selected for particle engineering before tablet press and capsule-filling, to get better flowability. Inside the drying chamber, powders and particles are fluidized. Over the ‘boiling’ materials, there are filter bags toseparate particles and process gas.
The fluid bed dryer filter bag is made up of different type of superior quality of fabrics, as per requirement of material involving in drying. Different types of fabrics are:
1. Antistatic POLYESTER， PES
2. Antistatic POLYAMMIDE， PA, Nylon
According to chemical resistant,PES performs well underPH1-7, WhilePA performs wellduring PH7-14. Most of time, PES fabric will be selected unless there have materials are alkaline or the bags will be washed with alkaline detergent.
After materials selected, we should find the suitable fabric type with different factors, like retention micron, static change and air permeability. Fluid bed dryer filter bags are cost-efficient and durable, as those are manufactured according to the specification and are regularly tested to meet standard quality.
To increase filtering area and efficiency, Fluid bed bags have finger-like structures, just like octopus’ legs. Shaking and blow-back action will drive the small powder or particles back to the drying chamber. More retention, means betteryield. Since all the API and ingredients are expensive, good fluid bed bags can help customer to increase yield and reduce the cost.
