RDC0-01C Bus Interface Units 1c670GB1002(F) and lC670GBl102A or later support Hot Insertion/Removalof modules in the l/0 Station.
Hot insertion/Removal means that modules can be removed and replaced while l/0 Station poweris applied without affecting the BlU or other modules in the l/0 Station.
Separate l/0 modulepower must be switched off to RDC0-01C the module being inserted or removed.Hot Insertion/Removal requires the use of specific modules and l/0 terminal blocks.RDC0-01C 1/0 modules having catalog number suffix J or above.
These modules have a projectingalignment tab that fits into a corresponding alignment tab on l/0 Terminal Blocks listed below.
Note that modules with this tab can also be installed on older l/0 Terminal Blocks that do nothave mating alignment tabs. However, Hot insertion/Removal are not supported in such aninstallation.
