Tungsten welding electrode can be applied for inert gas shield arc welding, plasma arc welding, cutting, painting etc . . Tungsten electrode has the performance of high melting point, high density, corrosion resistance, strong ability of electronic emission, conduct electricity, etc . Adding some rare earth oxides(CeO2、La2O3 、ThO2), tungsten electrode can be improve in the area of recrystallization temperature increasing and the ability of electronic emission, for that reason, its welding performance may be better than before. During the past years, thoriated tungsten electrode were wildly used in the field of inert gas shield arc welding, plasma arc welding, cutting. However, radioactive and unhealthy, compared with other tungsten electrodes, thoriated tungsten electrode will be replaced by ceriated tungsten, lanthanated tungsten, Multi- compond Rare-earth tungsten electrode etc . Besides argon arc welding, HF tungsten electrodes are wildly used in xenon lamp, painting fields . HF has been work patner with scientific research academy in China for a long time .
Thoriated-Tungsten Electrode Radioactive . Compared with pure tungsten electrodes and others, its welding perfomance is more excellent, with the advantages of easy operating, stable electric arc, long-life, ect.
Lanthanated-Tungsten Electrode Lanthanted tungsten electrode, which is similar to thoriated tungsten electrode with the characters of on-radioactive,excellent electric conductivity and welding performance, high carryinh capability, minimum ratio of burnt area, can be substituted for thoriated tungsten electrode, mainly used for DC welding.
Ceriated-Tungsten Electrode Ceriated tungsten electrode, with easier arc ignition and low arc maintaining current under low current circumstances, is substited for thoriated tungsten electrode, especially for DC welding.
Zirconium-Tungsten Electrode Zirconiated tungsten, with the advantages of AC welding, especially under high load current, can not be replaced by any other tungsten electrodes.This kind of tungsten electrode retains a balled end when welding, with corrosion resistance .
Yttrium-Tungsten Electrode Long and thin arc beam with high compression, deeper burning groove under medium and high current circumstances .
Pure-Tungsten Electrode Non-addition,requiring a high coltage for arc derivation, low crrent capacity, and easily burnt.
