I. Structural Components

The single-rope grab bucket  primarily comprises an upper beam, a lower beam, jaw plates (or buckets), support rods, a closing pulley block, a sliding seat, guide rails, a balance frame, and a rope guiding device. Notably, the upper and lower beams are interconnected via a specialized opening and closing mechanism, facilitating the grab's operation to open and close.

II. Operating Principles

Closing Process: When the grab needs to be closed for loading, the operator controls the crane hook to descend, positioning the open grab onto the material. The crane hook is then further lowered until the sliding seat or related mechanism fully contacts the material or the lower beam. Subsequently, the crane hook is lifted, triggering the opening and closing mechanism to lock the upper and lower beams (or buckets) together, thereby closing the grab and completing the loading process.

Opening Process: For unloading, the fully loaded grab is steadily placed on the ground or material. The crane hook is then lifted, causing the sliding seat or related mechanism to ascend alongside. During this ascent, the opening and closing mechanism activates, releasing the lock between the upper and lower beams (or buckets), enabling the grab to open and discharge its contents.
