The SAE J1772 standard defines the specifications for Type 1 connectors and plugs, primarily used for charging stations in the United States and Japan. This standard is developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the United States to standardize the connector and plug specifications for charging stations, so that different brands and models of electric vehicles can be compatible for use. The SAE J1772 standard includes multiple sections covering different types of charging stations and charging modes, ensuring interoperability and universality of charging facilities. In addition, the standard also considers safety and reliability to ensure the safety and efficiency of the charging process. Application instructions for charging gun
The steps and precautions for using a charging gun for charging mainly include the following points:
Ensure that the vehicle is in a stopped state and turn off the power switch of the electric vehicle. Find the charging port on the vehicle, usually located at the front or side of the vehicle. Pick up the charging gun, insert the port into the vehicle's charging port, and ensure that the plug is fully connected to the port.
Start charging. Insert the other end of the charging gun into the socket of the charging station. If the charging station has identity authentication function, use a mobile phone or charging card for identity verification. Start the charging station and follow the operating instructions on the charging station. Confirm battery type and charging power parameters, and make adjustments as needed.
Monitor the charging process. During the charging process, the charging progress and the charging status of the electric vehicle can be monitored through the screen of the charging station or the mobile app. If any abnormal situation is found (such as abnormal sound or heat during charging), the charging should be stopped immediately and checked.
End charging. After charging is completed, the charging station will automatically stop supplying power, or charging can be manually stopped. Disconnect the connection between the charging gun and the charging station, ensuring that the plug is completely unplugged from the socket. Pull out the charging gun from the vehicle's charging port, ensuring that the plug and port are completely separated.
Precautions. When using a charging gun for charging, ensure the safety of the surrounding environment and avoid water or other liquids from coming into contact with the charging device. Use appropriate charging cables and plugs to avoid using excessively long, damaged, or mismatched cables. Regularly inspect the appearance and connection parts of the charging gun and charging station to ensure no abnormal wear or damage. If the charging gun is not used for a long time, it should be stored properly and kept clean.

In the preparation before use, check whether the surrounding environment is safe, confirm that the charging gun is connected in place, and prohibit touching the electric gun hole and the vehicle socket with hands.
Do not remove the charging gun or start the car during the charging process.
After charging, confirm that the charging station stops working, remove the charging gun, seal the electric vehicle charging port, and organize the charging site.
