The use of combine harvesters has strong seasonality and long idle time. To maintain the good technical condition of the harvester and extend its service life, maintenance during the idle stage is very important.
Remove all drive belts, clean them thoroughly, apply talcum powder, hang labels indicating specifications and transmission parts, and store them on the walls inside the warehouse; Remove all roller chains, clean them with diesel or kerosene, drain them, soak them in waste engine oil for about 30 minutes (or soak them in waste engine oil for 48 hours), remove them, drain the engine oil, dip them in melted butter, wrap them in kraft paper or oil resistant film, and store them in a dry and ventilated place
