The air shield dam is a new type of hydraulic structure that combines the advantages of rubber dams and steel plate dams. The dam was developed by the United States in the 1990s. In 2008, the Ministry of Water Resources included the air shield dam in the national promotion plan. The air shield dam absorbs the essence of traditional movable dams and abandons the shortcomings of traditional movable dams. It has the characteristics of simple structure, short construction and installation period; outstanding flood control and flood crossing capabilities, safe and reliable operation; continuous control of water height and operation status; stronger pollution cleaning and silt removal capabilities; higher water retaining and water passing capabilities; short filling and discharge time, simple operation and management; ultra-long service life, high comprehensive benefits; strong earthquake resistance, high adaptability to foundations; good landscape effects, etc. Introduction to the important structures of the air shield dam 1. The airbag is composed of multiple layers of NN66 or aramid skeleton materials and special rubber, and is manufactured using multiple authorized patents. Airbag performance: working pressure is between 0.7-0.8MPa, the design safe inflation pressure is 8 kg, and the safety factor is 15 times that of the rubber dam; the outer layer material is made of EPDM polymer with excellent weather resistance and ozone aging resistance, and the aging resistance is more than 50 years. 2. Water shield material: stainless steel, carbon steel (surface polyurea or hot-dip galvanized) Specifications: Each unit is 5m long, and the units are softly connected with high-strength rubber composite belts. Structure: Made of steel plates with a thickness of more than 16mm, arc-shaped, and reinforced ribs welded on the water-facing surface.
