Product Description
2-Ethylhexyl acrylate
2-ethylhexyl acrylate is a colorless transparent liquid with ester odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents. Melting point -90°C, boiling point 215-219 °C(lit.), density 0.885 g/mL at 25 °C(lit.), vapor density 6.4 (vs air), vapor pressure 0.15 mm Hg (20 °C), refractive index n20/D 1.436(lit.), flash point 175 °F. Stability: Stable, but easily polymerized, so it is usually inhibited by hydroquinone or its monomethyl ether. Easy to hydrolyze. Flammable. Incompatible with oxidants.

1, organic synthesis, solvent. 2, polymerizable monomer, used for soft polymers, plays an internal plasticizing role in copolymers. 3, for the preparation of paint, textile, paper, leather, building adhesives and other industrial use of various resins. 4. 2-ethyl acrylate is a polymer monomer, and other monomers for copolymerization, crosslinking, grafting and other acrylic resin products, used in synthetic fiber fabric processing, adhesives, coatings, plastic modification and many other aspects.
