1、 Copper material plug
Copper plugs are the most commonly used plugs because copper has good conductivity and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal material for making plugs. Copper plugs have a longer service life than plugs made of other materials and are less likely to cause short circuits. Meanwhile, copper has the characteristics of high strength and good plasticity, making it more convenient to use.
2、 Why do charger plugs need to be nickel plated?
1) Nickel plating on plugs refers to the process of plating a layer of nickel on the surface of the plug through a series of chemical and electrochemical reactions. This treatment can make the surface of the plug smoother, more wear-resistant, and more impedance, while the nickel plated layer also has good corrosion resistance and will not rust.
2) The main reason for nickel plating on plugs is that their surfaces are often exposed to damp and corrosive environments, such as in bathrooms, laboratories, and so on. These humid environments can cause the surface of the plug to rust, poor contact, increased resistance, and even short circuits. Therefore, the purpose of nickel plating is to protect the surface of the plug, increase its corrosion resistance, and extend its service life.
In addition, the unevenness and wear of the plug surface can also lead to poor contact and increased resistance. Therefore, nickel plating treatment can make the plug surface smoother and more wear-resistant, reduce the occurrence of these problems, and improve the quality of the joint.
