Refined adsorbent aluminum magnesium carbonate (commonly known as hydrotalcite). The appearance is a kind of white porous spherical particles or powder with good flowability. It belongs to amphoteric compounds. The product has the functions of deacidification, deodorization, decolorization, adsorption of potassium, sodium ion and filtration medium. As polyether refined adsorbent, it has excellent adsorption and decolorization properties. Used in the last process of polyether polyol production.

Production application: the crude polyether polyol was put into the neutralization kettle. A small amount of pure water is added at a certain temperature. the neutralization reaction was carried out after stirring. The solution is controlled to a given pH value. Hydrotalcite is added at the same temperature. The solution is kept at the temperature for 1.5~2 h before vacuum distillation for dehydration. A filtration cycle doesn’t begin until the water content reaches a given value. The K⁺(Na⁺) ion content of the solution is determined until it reaches a given value. The solution is filtered immediately, and the filtrate is clear and transparent polyether.
