Product Description
Calcium bromide
Calcium bromide is colorless oblique crystal or crystal block, odorless, salty and bitter taste. Highly soluble in water; Soluble in ethanol, acetone and acid; Slightly soluble in methanol, liquid ammonia; Insoluble in ether or chloroform. Its aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline. It is prepared by the interaction of hydrobromic acid with calcium oxide, lime milk or calcium carbonate, or by passing ammonia into lime milk and adding bromine. Should be sealed and stored away from light. Used in the photographic industry.

1. Mainly used as completion fluid, cementing fluid and workover fluid for offshore oil drilling. 2. Manufacture ammonium bromide, photosensitive paper, fire extinguishing agent, refrigerant, etc. 3. Used as an analytical reagent, but also for photography. 4. Used in oil drilling.
