It has a low absorption coefficient and high resistance to thermal shock, making it the preferred material for high-power CO2 laser optical components.

The Application of ZnSe Optics
Due to its uniform and consistent refractive index, this infrared material is also an ideal material for protecting windows and optical components in forward looking infrared (FLIR) thermal imaging systems. At the same time, this material is also widely used as windows and lenses in medical, industrial thermal radiometers and infrared spectrometers, JT offers a wide variety of ZnSe lenses or ZnSe windows.

Infrared optical material selection depends on customer's requirements, the materials include germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, zinc sulphide ,sapphire, calcium fluoride, and many more. Our infrared optics manufacturing capabilities cover the entire infrared spectrum: near-infrared (NIR 0.7µm to 0.9µm), short-wave infrared (SWIR 0.9µm to 2.3µm), mid-wave infrared (MWIR 3µm to 5µm), and long-wave infrared (LWIR 8µm to 14µm).
