Potassium lauryl sulfate is a white or light yellow solid or powder with a slight odor at room temperature. It dissolves easily in water, forming a transparent solution. Potassium dodecyl sulfate is chemically stable, but hydrolysis reactions may occur in solid acid or base environments. It has many pH applications and can be used under acid and alkaline conditions. In addition, it also has good resistance to hard water and oxidation.
