To turn on the device, do the following:
1. You are advised to wear an ESD wrist strap and clip the ESD clip to a metal surface as a grounding device.
The device does not come with an ESD belt.
2. Place the container on a clean surface and cut off all straps securing the container.
3. Open the container.
4. Carefully remove the device from the container and place it on a safe, clean surface.
5. Remove all packing materials.
6. Check the product for damage. Report any damage immediately.
If you find any items missing or damaged, contact your local ATI dealer for a replacement.
Installation equipment
The device can be installed on a plane or a rack. This section covers the following topics:
• Desktop or chassis installation
• Rack mounting
Desktop or shelf installation
Before installing a switch on a desktop or shelf, secure the rubber feet delivered with the switch.
Attach these buffer feet to each corner of the bottom of the device.
Ensure that the ground can support the weight of the device and device cables.
If you need to install the device on the ground, follow these steps:
1. Secure the rubber feet to the bottom of the device. The installation diagram of rubber feet is shown in the following figure
