The pneumatic caliper Disc brake frame and cylinder are composed of two parts (see the structure diagram). When cylinder 1 is filled with pressure air, piston rod 5 quickly contracts into the cylinder under the action of air pressure. The left and right brake arms, under the action of return spring 4, drive the friction block 12 to quickly open (i.e. release the brake).

When the cylinder stops supplying air and quickly deflates through the control valve, the piston rod 5 quickly extends under the internal spring of the cylinder, pushing the left and right brake arms to drive the friction block 12 to close (i.e., the holding brake).

There are two commonly used types of electric braking: power reverse braking and energy consumption braking. Reverse braking of a power supply is a method of forcing the motor to quickly stop by changing the phase sequence of the power supply in the stator winding of the motor. A one-way reverse brake control circuit is shown in Figure 0 for one-way operation reverse brake control circuit. In the figure, KS and KS are two pairs of normally open contacts in both positive and negative directions of the speed relay. When SB is pressed, the motor rotates forward and the normally open contacts KS of the speed relay close, preparing for reverse connection action. When SB is pressed, the motor reverses and the speed relay KS closes, preparing for reverse connection action. The function of the intermediate relay KA is to prevent the speed relay KS from rotating when the operator manually rotates the workpiece and spindle due to work needs; When the speed reaches a certain value, the normally open contact of the speed relay closes, and the motor receives reverse power and impulses in the opposite direction, causing work-related injuries.
