Sintered mesh is made of one or more layers of woven wire mesh through the process of "sintering". Single-layer braided steel wire mesh is the first roller pressure evenly, to ensure good contact at the intersection of steel wire. A single or multiple layer of this calendered mesh is then laminated under mechanical pressure with special fixtures in a high temperature furnace filled with a proprietary embedded gas and the temperature is raised to the point at which sintering (diffusion bonding) occurs. After a controlled cooling process, the mesh becomes stiffer because all the contact points of the individual wires are glued to each other. Sintering improves the performance of woven wire mesh by combining pressure and heat. The sintered mesh can be single layer or multi-layer, according to the filtering needs, can add a layer of perforated metal to strengthen the entire structure.
