The function of ADSS small span tension clamp is similar to that of tension clamp; Mainly used for poles and towers with short spans of 50-200 meters, such as corners, tension, terminals, etc. It is not only suitable for aerial optical cables, but also for anchoring and installation of aerial wires, stay wires, etc., as well as for use as traction clamps in optical cable construction.
ADSS tension clamp consists of U-shaped ring, embedded ring, aluminum clad steel pre twisted wire/A-grade galvanized steel wire, bolt, nut, closed whistle, etc.
The function of ADSS optical cable tension clamp:
1. Effectively transfer the longitudinal compression force to the tension bearing unit of the optical cable - aramid, to avoid excessive stress on the outer sheath of the optical cable and being pulled.
2. The transmission of axial tension increases the contact area with the optical cable, resulting in uniform stress distribution and no stress concentration points.
Characteristics of the strain clamp: 1. It has a strong grip on the optical cable and can withstand significant tension without exceeding the lateral compressive strength of the ADSS cable.
2. The grip force on ADSS optical cables shall not be less than 95% of the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of the cable, which is fully suitable for the installation of optical cables.
