Mechanical four rope clamshell grab
These grabs have acquired their name from the two holding and two closing ropes coming from the crane. They achieve maximum efficiency through the optimum balance between dead weight and crane capacity and also require low maintenance.
It is generally designed for handling of powder and fine bulk materials.
The grab overall structure is light and durable, offering high grabbing ratio, strong closing force and high material filling rate.
It is normally attached to port cranes, deck cranes, ship unloaders and other type of cranes, which are widely used in ports, steel plants, power stations and vessels.
