1. What is a jumbo bag?Jumbo bags also called Bulk Bags or FIBC Jumbo Bags. It is a bag with a large size used for transporting dry materials.Normally, most bulk bags will sit around 80cm to 90cn in height and 85cm in width. However, it can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and can be customized according to the requirements of the customers.
There are some universal standards for jumbo bags, they should be able to hold 700-900kg or nearly a ton therefore they must be carried by machines through the transfer belt.Consequently, the advantages of such bags are evident. It has an excellent weight carrying capabilities and is able to withstand harsh conditions with minimum possibility of breakage.
2. What is the meaning of FIBC?FIBC is the abbreviation of Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container. FIBC is also known by many names such as super sacks, bulk bags, or jumbo bags, all of which indicate its outstanding ability to carry heavy products. It was used for storing and transporting flowable and dry raw materials, such as plastic particles, sand and fertilizers.3. Transportation is only a part of the whole system, in the final stage, we are facing problems of how the products in the jumbo bag can be discharged safely without wastage.The most traditional way of discharging a jumbo bag is through a discharge spout, which is added to the bottom of the bag. Usually, the discharge spout is tucked inside a closure on the bottom of the bag.The closure is sometimes called a petal closure, pajama closure, star, or x-cut closure. The closure is designed to protect the spout and to
prevent the product from sifting out of the discharge before its intended discharge. Discharge spouts can be customized with specific sizes and closures.There are several ways as to methods of discharging bulk bags.The first and most common one is gravity. This is a fairly easy way to empty the bag because you just need to open the discharge spout and let the products flow to the intended unloading area. However, the flaw in this method is that you cannot control the amount of material to be released.Second, some jumbo bags don’t have a discharge spout therefore the discharging process requires manual work by using a C-shaped cutting on the bottom of the bag.
