Belt Driven Screw Compressor Details
Belt driven screw air compressors consist of a belt connected to the compressor pump motor. When the motor is running, the belt turns, powering your air compressor. Belt driven screw air compressor is more suitable for compressors with about 22KW of power, and is driven by two pulleys manufactured in proportion to speed through the belt.
How to choose belt drive and direct drive about air compressor?
If you need to adjust speed and power, belt drive may be a better option. As long as it is properly lubricated, the belt-driven compressor will run more smoothly and therefore quieter. This makes it a good choice for environments where noise levels are important. If you have a workshop and you don't use pneumatic tools very often, a small compressor with belt drive is enough, however, if you use compressed air all the time and pay special attention to reducing energy costs, or if you have to run your compressor under harsh conditions then you may be more suitable for a direct driven air compressor.
