What is the  Polygonum cuspidatum?

Polygonum cuspidatum is native to eastern Asia and widely distributed in China. Polygonum cuspidatum have been used to treat a wide range of afflictions, including fungal diseases, various skin inflammations, cardiovascular diseases and liver diseases. 

Resveratrol, belongs to a class of polyphenolic compounds called stilbenes, are found largely in the skins of red grapes and root of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb.
