Chemical description：calcium chloride
Molecular formula: CaCl2

Specification: 74%flakes, 75%powder, 77%flakes, anhydrous calcium powder, anhydrous globular.

Property:colorless cubic crystal. white or white porous or grain, honeycomb. oderless, slightly bitter taste. Relative density of 2.15(25℃). melting point of 782℃, boiling point of 1600℃. strong moisture absorption. It is easy to deliquescent in the air. Easy to soluble in water and at the same time release lots of heat. It's water solution is slight acidity. soluble with alcohol, acetone and vinegar. React with ammonia and alcohol to produce CaCl2·8NH3 & CaCl2·4C2H5OH. Under the common temperature, crystal to produce Hexahydrate. add heat to 30℃ and it is soluble with self crystal water. Continously add heat, lose water, to 200℃ become dihydrate. Add heat to 260℃ it becomes water porous calcium chlorde,anhydrous.

Purpose

Purpose: it is used for melting snow and deicing on roads, highways, parking lots and docks, as the multipurpose desiccant, such as used for drying the the gases . And as the dehydrating agent for producing alcohol, ester, aether and crylic acid resin. CaCl2 aqueous solution is the important cryogen for refrigeration machine and ice-making and also the good architecture antifreeze, which can spend up concrete solidification and increase ability to withstand cold of construction mortar. Besides, it can be used as the fog dispersal agent for harbors, the dust collection agent for the road surface and the fireproofing agent for the fabric. Moreover it is the protection agent and refining agent for aluminum and magnesium metallurgy, the precipitator for lake dyestuff production and for deinking in waste paper processing. It is also the raw material for producing calcium salts. Calcium chloride solution is the flocculation agent in the field of seaweed sodium and soybean products.
