2205 STAINLESS STEEL sheet
Duplex stainless steel 2205 standard no. : ASTM A240/A240M--01 duplex stainless steel 2205 is a composite stainless steel consisting of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloys.It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local resistance to stress corrosion.The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, a feature that allows designers to design products with less weight, giving the alloy a price advantage over 316,317 L.This alloy is particularly suitable for temperatures in the -50°F/+600°F range.For applications beyond this temperature range, the alloy may also be considered, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures
