Boron Carbide filled UHMWPE
UHMWPE containing 5% or 10% boron polyethylene board was prepared by hot pressing process. Boron carbide/UHMWPE composite sheet is use for neutron shielding. Boron carbide powder was stirred by high speed stirring, kneading, plasticizing and hot pressing in the UHMWPE board. It was a new type of composite shielding material.
Boron polyethylene shielding sheets, can add boron, borax, borax and lead powder according to your requirements. The content of boron polyethylene is 5%, 10%, 12%, 20%, the more boron content, the better the radiation shielding effect.
The boron polyethylene shielding sheet composite material has the characteristics of low density, good attenuation curve, convenient use, low cost and good processing performance compared with traditional metal and concrete.
Boron polyethylene shielding sheets mainly composed of boron carbide (B4C) and polyethylene material. It can effectively prevent the harm caused by nuclear radiation to the family and society. It can absorb a lot of neutrons and not form any radioactive isotopes, so it's an ideal neutron absorber in nuclear power stations has the characteristics of low density, good attenuation curve, convenient use, low cost and good processing performance compared with traditional metal and concrete.
