Self adjusting electric brake assembly is a brilliant design for trailer electric brake system. Al-KO call it Nev-R-Adjust which is mainly for the trailer axles 2000lbs to 4000lbs later than 2009. It will adjust itself when the trailer axle brakes are worn thinner. The distance between brake lining and drum will always keep a very close so that the strength you step the brake pedal will never need change till the brake shoes are worn out.
