Single Axis prosthetic Knee Joint with Adjustable Constant Friction suitable for persons with above-knee amputation, It has moderate functional requirements and moderate support stability. It is not suitable for persons with higher function requirements.
The swing of the prosthetic knee joint consists in connection between the swing axis and the upper part of the joint and between the prosthetic knee joint axis and the lower part of the joint. The stability during the stance period is achieved by adjust the prosthetic knee joint behind the gravity center line of the body during alignment. The knee is designed to utilize the swing axis and brake axis as a load-dependent brake. The axis friction and the extension assist are adjustable for improved control of swing phase.
