Summary:
- The electric pencil hard testing machine is suitable for testing the hardness of various types of household appliances such as mobile phone housings, MP3/MP4 housings, and laptop housings, as well as testing hardness of various types of metal coating, decorative materials, and synthetic leathers. This machine marks the hardness of a product by scratching the coating of the product with a pencil of a certain hardness and the hardest pencil marking that does not cause the destruction of the coating.

Product testing:
- The machine uses a hardness pencil to scrape the surface hardness of the coating film on the surface of the coating. The hardness pencil is fixed at an angle of 45° so that the front-end pen core is in contact with the surface of the coating layer and is loaded at a proper speed (JIS specification 0.5 mm).
- Move the test platform so that the surface of the coating layer moves past the pen center. The softest pencil grade where the coating layer does not cause damage (scratches) can be considered as the hardness of the coating layer.
Be careful:
- 1. The machine must be placed horizontally before machine testing;
- 2. Before the test, the speed should be adjusted to the lowest level. After the machine runs normally, the speed will be adjusted to the test demand value.
- 3. the template must be clamped to prevent loosening affect the test results.
