PTFE zone tape is with high-temperature adhesive along the edge and leaves an adhesive-free center in the middle. The PTFE zone tape is made from woven fiberglass substrates impregnated with PTFE, then process pressure sensitive silicone adhesive along the edge of the tape.
The adhesive-free center zone minimizes the thermal barrier between heating seal part and sealing material, allows for fast heat transfer through the PTFE zone tape, high-temperature adhesive offers easy adhesion to the heating element or silicone rubber and eliminates the need for mechanical fastening, thus the tape is perfect for heat sealing equipment which use flexible ribbon wire to help to extend their working lifetime. Coated with PTFE, the zone tape provides a non-stick surface to sealing parts, polybag just releases from the heating wire quickly under high temperature.

PTFE Zone Tape Details
PTFE zone tape can withstand temperatures ranging from -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C), the tape is an excellent choice for impulse sealing applications, such as the manufacture of plastic bags, heat sealer bar cover, hot wire cover. The material of the tape is also food grade and good for food processing.

PTFE zone tape can also be applied with acrylic adhesive along the edge, in order to reduce cost and fit applications were under relatively lower temperature between -40 ~ +170°C.
