AS-1 (Cross plate) shear test machine is used for in situ determining the natural shearing strength of saturated soft clay.
Features
For the high sensitive soft clay, the disturbance when soil sampling and specimen preparation has obvious influence on the strength. This machine has the advantage to determine the strength index that nearer to the actual strength. And as this machine determines the strength index in the borehole, should be used with the drlling equipment, generally can detect 30 m.
