Brief introduction of Phycocyanin
Phycocyanin is a dark blue powder which isolated from spirulina. It can be Mainly found in cyanobacteria, red algae and cryptophyta. The phycocyanin is usually also classified into C-phycocyanin and R-phycocyanin. The former is mainly present in cyanobacteria, while the latter is mainly present in red algae, both of them are present in cryptophyta.
