Butterfly head is also known as the spherical head with folded edges, also known as the butterfly head. It is composed of a sphere, a straight side of a cylinder of a certain height and a transition part connecting the above two parts whose radius of curvature is smaller than the radius of the sphere. The dish head is a continuous surface. At the junction of the three parts, the curvature radius of the longitude has a sudden change. Because of the curvature change, there exists bending stress. The result of the superposition of bending stress and tensile stress makes this part of stress stand out from other parts. Compared with oval head, the stress distribution is not as uniform as ellipse head, but it is easier to process, so it is not ideal in engineering application. But when it is difficult to process the mould with oval head, the disc head is used instead. Implementation standard :GB/T25198-2010.
