Dressing of ordinary abrasives
In the grinding process, the grinding wheel is used as a tool for cutting, but in the dressing process, the grinding wheel becomes the object to be cut.
Tools for dressing grinding wheels can be divided into two types according to the geometry of the dresser and the form of movement during the dressing process:
(1) Dressing tools such as static dressers do not rotate when dressing the grinding wheel.
Only the cutting movement perpendicular to the surface of the grinding wheel and the feed movement parallel to the dressing contour are made.
Including single-grain diamond, multi-grain flake diamond and diamond pen.
(2) Sports dressers are dressing.
During the process, it rotates relative to the grinding wheel or makes compound movement.
Including diamond rollers, rolled steel trimmers, etc.
There are two reasons why the grinding wheel needs to be repaired during the grinding process:
1. Due to abrasive wear, the edges and corners become blunt, and the pores are blocked by cutting, thus losing the cutting ability;
2. Abrasive particles are irregularly distributed in the grinding wheel, the sharpness of the cutting edge corners is different (direction of the crystal), and the bonding strength with the bonding agent is inconsistent, and the degree of abrasive wear is not equal, resulting in uneven self-sharpening , So as to affect the geometric shape and dimensional accuracy of the workpiece surface.
The superhard material resin abrasive tool is made of diamond or cubic boron nitride as the abrasive, resin powder as the binder, adding appropriate filler materials, through preparation, mixing, hot pressing, hardening, and mechanical processing. A processing tool with a certain geometric shape and suitable for different grinding requirements.
