For general users, we only need to care about the size parameters of the tire. For example 225/40 R17 94Y, 225/40 is the aspect ratio, R is the radial tire, 17 is the outer diameter of the rim, 94 is the load index, and Y is the speed grade. The specific values of the load index and speed grade can be obtained from the related tables.

2 Tire maintenance

The average user may do regular maintenance on the car, but he knows little about the maintenance of the tires and the normal method of use. We need to check the air pressure of the tires on a regular basis. Leakage of nails and air nozzles will cause a rapid decrease in tire air pressure. Hidden dangers can be found in time by checking the air pressure. The standard tire pressure value can be found on the door label or user manual. Many brand tire dealers provide free tire pressure inspection services. You can check the tire pressure at your own brand dealer or use a small tire pressure gauge for self-checking.

Sunlight or organic solvents will accelerate the aging of tires. Car owners should avoid the use of organic beauty products such as tire brighteners, and park the car in a cool place as much as possible.

3 Misuses of tires

Many people think that the grip of wide tires is greater, but it is not. Under certain circumstances, the narrow tire will have a larger grip area than the wide tire, and the narrow tire will have a stronger grip. Experts do not recommend general users to upgrade or modify the model or size of the original car tires unless you are a professional modification enthusiast.

Many users feel that if the front wheels are used as steering wheels if only two tires are replaced, new tires should be installed on the front wheels. In fact, this is a misunderstanding, and many people do not know it. If only 2 tires are replaced, we should install new tires on the rear wheels. why?
