Australia Begins First Renewable Energy Micro-grid Project
A consortium led by Enwave Australia is developing Australia's first industrial renewable energy micro-grid in a new 120-hectare business park in Nambeelup, Western Australia.
The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and reduce the park's electricity price by 30 percent, but the capacity of the solar and storage systems has not been disclosed.
The Western Australian government says Micro-grid is an innovative solution for the high cost of the main grid extending to the region. Speeding up the development of industrial land and creating development opportunities for the park. The completion Peel Business Park is expected to bring about a $1 billion a year to Australia.
