Features of double end grinding wheel:
1. High grinding efficiency: both end faces of the workpiece are ground at the same time, and the machine is highly automated, so the grinding productivity is more than 50% higher than that of the general end face.
2. High grinding precision: in the double end grinding, the surface is the positioning surface. One - time grinding of two end faces of the workpiece avoids the addition of positioning error and machining error. For medium size workpiece, the parallel difference between two sides can be improved from 6-10U grinding on vertical axis to 4-8U precision.
The key to double face grinding is to adjust the machine and select the grinding wheel. Such as grinding crankshaft ring, bearing roller, piston ring and other two ends of grinding. Most grinding wheels are bolted with resin binder. There are many types of bolted grinding wheels.
