Cylinder/cylindrical magnets express the same mean of rod magnets and magnetic rods.
The neodymium cylinder magnets can be also called as neodymium magnet rod & neodymium cylindrical magnets, they are cylinder magnets that made from rare-earth neodymium magnetic material. Its express way is the same as disc neodymium magnets. The difference is its thickness is longer than its diameter, not looks flat anymore. Neodymium cylinder magnets or neodymium rod magnets are usually made by cutting from longer semi-products of NdFeB cylinder magnets. Still some smaller NdFeB cylinder/cylindrical magnets are made from semi-products of block neodymium magnets. Cut the bigger semi-products of block neodymium magnets into many smaller near size block magnets, then grind the smaller magnet blocks into the round. Just because of the round shape, it also called as round neodymium magnets. The longest neodymium cylinder magnets we made is 100 mm long, which is the magnetized direction.
Most of neodymium cylinder/rod /cylindrical magnets are axially magnetized(magnetized through length). We also produced some diametrical magnetized cylinder/rod magnets,which are used as jewelry magnets, such as small cylinder magnets D4x10mm, D5x5mm, D6x6mm.
