Anviloy for Die Casting
Description
Anviloy metals containing tungsten and molybdenum are well-recognized to solve the problems with molds (insufficient thermal conductivity, high wear, sticking of aluminum) in die casting. The most commonly used hi-tech tungsten materials in the die casting industry are Anviloy1150, Anviloy1350 and Anviloy weld rod. Using Anviloy tungsten alloys during the foundry process can both improve quality and lower costs.
Anviloy series is material specified by North American Die Casting Association (NADCA).
1) Tungsten Anviloy 1150 Welding Rod
Tungsten anviloy welding rod is applied with TIG (GTAW) welding techniques and can be repaired or built up in worn areas by the use of tungsten anviloy welding rod. Tungsten anviloy welding rod also can be used in repairing dies extending the life of the die and lowering cost.
Tungsten alloy welding rod is usually made by the composition of W Ni Fe Mo alloy, which is also called Anviloy 1150 ( WNiFeMo ), it is a tungsten based material made using special high temperature powder metallurgy techniques. Anviloy 1150 material has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, hot erosion resistance and good thermal conductivity. The excellent thermal conductivity of Anviloy 1150 provides an additional benefit to increase cooling in difficult to cool areas. Therefore Anviloy 1150 can be used to increase cooling in critical areas to minimize porosity. It was developed primarily as an alternative to H-13 Tool Steels for die cast tooling to save you time and money.
With Anviloy 1150 as the base for your dies, client could get more additional benefits: longer die life, better surface finishes on products, fewer rejects, lower cost Less porosity in heavy sections
Application: Hot Extrusion Dies, Die Cast Tooling, and high mass and gyro. Machinability is similar to gray iron. We can supply tungsten alloy welding material Anviloy 1150 ( WNiFeMo ) as per different shape requirement. We can manufacture tungsten heavy alloy products as Anviloy substitute products.

Main Products
1.Core pins and inserts.
Anviloy® core pins are widely used to remove heat fast, increase the service time and reduce sticking of aluminum to the pins.
Inserts are mostly used to reduce wear of certain mold areas and remove the heat faster to improve cast quality and decrease cycle times.
2.Spreaders
Anviloy® spreaders are used in areas where liquid aluminum is pouring into the mold and spreads by this cone to distribute it in the mold. It is often used in wheel die casting. Service time is multiple times higher compared to tool steel.
3.Anviloy® mold enhancement products
The benefits of Anviloy® mold enhancement products
(1) Reduced corrosion and erosion
(2) Increased form stability
(3) Improved stability of dimensions
(4) Fast removal of heat
(5) Minimized heat check
(6) Reduced soldering
(7) Minimized release angles
