General Characteristics of Incoloy 925
Incoloy 925 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy. It combines high strength with Incoloy 825's excellent corrosion resistance. Incoloy 925 is particularly resistant to sulfide-induced stress cracking and stress-corrosion cracking.

Heat Treatment of Incoloy 925
Anneal by holding at 1800°F (982°C) for ½ to 1 hour, then rapidly cool (air cool small sections, water quench others) Aging Heat to 1400°F (760°C) Hold at temperature 8 hours Furnace cool at 100°F (38°C) per hour Hold at 1150°F (621°C) for 8 hours Air cool

Perform on hot-worked metal suggested to provide best finish while conserving machining

Hot working Similar to Incoloy 825 up to 2000°F (1093°C) - higher temperatures produce a stronger, less-ductile metal 1600° to 2150°F (871°  to 1177°C) hot working range Perform final hot working from 1600° to 1800°F (871° to 982°C) for top mechanical properties and best corrosion resistance Cold working Higher work-hardening rate than Incoloy 825
