INSTRUCTION
The instrument can be used to make fast diagnosis of glow plug failure or degradation without the need to disassemble the glow plug from the engine. It is suitable for use on any 12Volt DC vehicle system. The six LEDs on thepanel indicate the status of the glow plug under test and also whether the vehicle battery contains enough charge to power glow plug.
Observe which one of the LEDs is illuminated and see below for diagnosis.
① Defective (short circuit) glow plug
② Higher than 16A in 3 seconds or less=OK
Higher than 16A but in more than 3 seconds=fault
③ Glow plug is OK
④ Defective (high resistance) glow plug
⑤ Defective (open circuit) glow plug
⑥ Vehicle battery is low so that the Glow Plug Analyser will not function correctly.
