I remember that when I start to work in this plastic mould steel field, there is no any professional training on the products at all at that company, we only have a product catalogue which was copied from other competitor supplier, it is only with 2-3 pages. And the catalogue is very simple, the paper quality is worse, besides, the plastic mould picture is not clear with the disorderly background. And the layout design is also in a mess. I only could read the number from catalogue, but have no idea and could not understand anything about other words meaning.In fact, the printing out catalogue is for meeting customers, which avoiding any embarrassment when you make the presentation.
During in the company for about two weeks, I always sit in front of computer, and searched some more data for the 1.2311 P20 steel from internet. In the morning of one day, the boss asked me that can you visit the customer for business? I was shocked and my head is blank, because I did not get any training on the products, I had no idea on the target customers which will use the 1.2311 P20 steel. But afterall, I was in the office for two weeks already, it may lose my face, if I said to boss I can’t not do it. So I said yes, I can. And then I checked some customer contact info and address in Dongguan, and visited them immediately by bus without making any appointment. When I met the customer, I gave him my name card and catalogue, and had very short introduction on my company and after that I kept silent over there. The customer asked me some simple question and found I was a fresh sales. Even in my minds, I questioned myself, what is the 1.2311 P20 plastic mould steel? Is it plastic or steel? He said, hey, young man, thanks for your visiting, I purchased the plastic mould steel from other supplier, the unit price is…and we will not choose the new supplier which is small company, will keep your name card and contact with you if there is any need in the future. So you could imagine that of course it is no further news in the future.
