Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (white): English name Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UPE), a thermoplastic engineering plastic with a molecular weight of more than 1.5 million. With a molecular chain length 10-20 times that of high density polyethylene, the longer molecular chain (higher molecular weight) gives UHMWPE the main advantages in toughness, wear resistance and stress crack resistance, since it is a polyethylene UHMWPE also has lubricity, chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties of general HDPE. Its development success is widely regarded as one of the top ten scientific and technological achievements of the 20th century.

The ultra-high molecular polyethylene sheet produced by Ketian has excellent wear resistance, good low temperature impact resistance, self-lubricating property, non-toxicity, water resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance superior to general PE, and the disadvantage is resistance. The heat (heat distortion temperature) is low, the formability is poor, the outer surface hardness, rigidity, and creep resistance are not as good as general engineering plastics, and the expansion coefficient is too large. UHMWPE has poor fluidity and high viscosity in molten state. It is a rubber-like high-viscosity elastomer. It can only be formed by pressing and sintering at an early stage. It can also be processed by extrusion, injection molding and blow molding.
The mechanical properties are higher than the general high density polyethylene. It has outstanding impact resistance, stress crack resistance, high temperature creep resistance, low friction coefficient, self-lubricating property, excellent chemical resistance, fatigue resistance, noise damping, and nuclear radiation resistance.
Good cold resistance, can be used at -269 °C. The product has a density of 0.95~0.98g/cm3 and a molecular weight of 2 million. The tensile strength at break is 40MPa, the elongation at break is 350%, the flexural modulus is 600MPa, and the cantilever beam is impacted continuously. The amount of wear (MPC method) is 20 mm.
