Product Description

Spiral welded steel pipe :

It is made from the low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel strip which is rolled into tube billet according to certain spiral Angle ( called forming Angle ) with the tube seam welded . It can be used to produce large diameter steel pipe with narrow strip steel . The welded steel pipe shall ensure that the water pressure test , tensile strength and cold bending performance of the weld meet the requirements .

Advantages of spiral welded pipe:

(1) Steel pipes with different diameters can be produced by using the same width of steel strip , especially large diameters pipes can be produced by using narrow steel strip .

(2) Under the same pressure conditions , the stress of the spiral weld is smaller than that of the straight seam

( 75% ~ 90% of the straight welded pipe ) , so it can withstand greater pressure . Compared with the straight welded pipe with the same outer diameter , the wall thickness can be reduced by 10% ~ 25% under the same pressure .

(3) Accurate size , the general diameter tolerance does not exceed 0.12% , deflection less than 1/2000, ovality less than 1% , can generally save sizing and straightening process .

(4) Can be continuous production, theoretically can produce infinite long steel pipe , cutting head , cutting tail loss is small , can improve the metal utilization rate of 6% ~ 8% .

(5) Compared with straight welded pipe , it is more flexible in operation and easy to change and adjust .

(6) Light weight and low initial investment . It can be made into a trailer type flow unit to produce welded pipe directly at the construction site where the pipe is laid .

(7) Easy to realize mechanization and automation.
