Sack Gabion

Sack gabion is also known as wire mesh bag and made from of a single mesh panel laced to form a cylindrical unit flexible and permeable. Sac or Cylindrical gabions are made from Hexagonal Gabion consisting of mesh twisted around in a cylindrical form & laced. The Cylindrical core of the Sack gabions are filled on land & then placed on site for speedy installation / construction. Usually used to build dykes & groynes, they are also used to regulate water flow & for marine structures.Due its flexibility it plays an important role in sand / river training and emergency projects.

Mesh aperture of sack gabion in Nova factory are - 60 x 80, 80 x 100, 100 x 120, 120 x 150mm.

Wire thickness ranges from 2.0 to 4.0mm.

There are many types according to surface treatment for gabion boxes- electro-galvanized gabion, hot dip galvanized gabion, Galfan and PVC coated gabion. Their difference among each other is anti-rust ability. Galfan is the most strongest while electro-galvanized is the weakest. Price and material cost is proportional to the corrosion resistance.

So when you inquiry or order sack gabion, it’s important to specify and check on this issue with gabion supplier.
