Air grip union installation method:
- Weld the steel shell of air grip union with the exit hole of container or mud tank together, or weld steel shell with the steel pipe interface of corresponding diameter and keep the gas nozzle upwards to make the inflation and deflation convenient. Note: pneumatic tire cannot be installed into steel pipe in welding process to avoid burning out pneumatic tire.
- Install the pneumatic tire into steel shell after the welding is completed.
- Insert the two ends of tube into the pneumatic tire holes of two air grip unions.
- Inflate the pneumatic tire of air grip union to the predetermined pressure from the gas nozzle.
Air Grip union :
150 psi maximum line pressure, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14and 16-inch sizes
Recommended service:
Mud suction and return lines and low-pressure fluid lines
Features:
• Shot of rig air inflates tube to seal around pipe
• Fast, easy make-up without close alignment
• Allows pipe expansion or misalignment without breaking the seal
• No nuts, bolts, or wrenches required
In the Air Grip unions(Air-O-unions) we have patents:
1. Medium available: mud, oil, water
2. Medium temperature: -45°C ~50°C
3. Reconversion time when deflated: 1-3 seconds.
4. Medium presssure: 0.1-0.5Mpa
5. Structure: steel shell and air bag
6. Material: shell for 20# casting steel, tyre for rubber.
