Sucker rod Coupling
They are available in reduced slim hole (SH) diameters as well as normal full size (FS) for both API Class T(through-hardened) and Class SM (Spray Metal).
Class T
The coupling blanks are formed or machined to size and tolerance, threaded using a cold-forming rolled thread tap and coated for anti-galling and lubrication properties.
Class T couplings are recommended for installation where abrasion or corrosion-abrasion is not a problem.
Class SM
Spray Metal is a superficial hardening process in which a nickel, chrome boron and silicon based powder is applied on the base metal and later melted, resulting in a hard, dense and uniform surface with a very low friction coefficient and high corrosion resistance.
Class SM couplings are recommended for installation where abrasion or corrosion-abrasion is a problem.
Sub-couplings have different sizes for box threads in each end and are used for connecting two sizes of sucker rods or a polished rod to a sucker rod string. They are available in slim hole (SH) diameters as well as normal full size (FS) for both API Class T and Class SM.
Sub-couplings may be used on sucker rods or polished rods.
Special couplings improve the fatigue and abrasive resistance life of sucker rods while providing excellent field performance. We have developed hollow sucker rod couplings, cambered surface couplings, sucker rod couplings with wrench flat, injection molded couplings, double pins couplings, and mirror finished sucker rod couplings etc.
