The most common problem in tube mill strip preparing section is coil set, and a leveler is the tool to remove it. In most cases, leveler, also called leveling machine, is working right after uncoiler.
To remove positive coil set, leveler bends the material over a series of rollers to induce compression on the top surface and tension in the bottom surface. The most common configuration for leveler is an odd number of rolls. Global machinery levelers are designed in form of five, seven, or nine rolls. Better than three-roll units where a continuous adjustment is normally required, five-roll or seven-roll levelers are less sensitive, providing a better leveling quality along with an easier thread-up. With an advanced design concept incorporated, when properly configured and powered, our levelers can also induce enough yield strains to remove crossbow. By removing coil set and crossbow, our units eliminate apparent buckles and edge wave.
